Welsh judo star Jamie MacDonald lost battle to cancer and died at age 26.
The Welshman who competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow was diagnosed in 2015. He was suffering from an inoperable brtain tumour.
His mother announced his death on his blog on Sunday night which read: “Sadly Jamie lost the biggest fight of his life this afternoon.
“He died at home, peacefully and in no pain. Jamie is 26 years old, his 27th birthday will be in a week. Xx Jamie’s mum.”
