SUBMISSION DETAILS BY JOCKO WILLINK & DEAN LISTER

Are you a fan of Kneebars? If so, the next time you’re close to finishing one, don’t just grab the opponent’s ankle/calf muscle. Instead, Dean Lister advises you to grab a hold of their toes and establish a Rear Naked Choke grip. Then, twist a bit into the side your opponent is on and you’ll get the tap.
If you’re someone who prefers Heel Hooks, that’s awesome too! Here’s a good tip: make sure that the opponent’s heel falls into the upper part of your wrist. Don’t place it on your elbow, but use your wrist instead.

Also, make sure that you don’t lock your feet when taking someone’s back… Unless you want to get submitted with a Leg Lock. And definitely go for the “Schoolboy Takedown” when your opponent has a strong base.
