Merab Dvalishvili, the UFC bantamweight contender, found himself in an unexpected altercation during the Craig Jones Invitational (CJI) in Las Vegas.
Just weeks away from the most significant fight of his career – a title shot against Sean O’Malley at UFC 306 – Dvalishvili made headlines for a confrontation with a heckling fan in the crowd.
Videos circulated on social media showing Dvalishvili jumping out of the VIP section to address the situation.
The footage captured the Georgian fighter hopping the rail and brushing past a security guard before heading toward the fan.
The fan, seen dismissively waving off Dvalishvili, faced the fighter’s fury as Dvalishvili apparently started pulling his hair.
Fortunately, before things could escalate further, a security guard intervened and pulled Dvalishvili away.
This incident surprised many, as Dvalishvili is usually known for his composed demeanor.
However, the situation also appeared to be genuine – with a member of Dvalishvili’s team confirming the reality of the altercation to MMA Fighting.
