Watch Jon Jones Train with Olympic Wrestling Gold Medalist Gable Steveson

Jon Jones is leaving no stone unturned in preparation for his UFC 309 heavyweight title defense against Stipe Miocic. Set for November 16 at Madison Square Garden, this will be Jones’ first title defense since he claimed the belt by submitting Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 in March 2023. As the fight approaches, Jones has ramped up his training by bringing in elite partners, including Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson and former WBO heavyweight boxing champion Joseph Parker, to help sharpen his skills.

Gable Steveson, known for his Olympic wrestling dominance and brief stint in the WWE, brings a level of wrestling pedigree that can only push Jones further in terms of grappling and athleticism.

Jones has long been regarded for his ability to mix disciplines seamlessly, and his current training camp showcases his focus on blending wrestling and striking to perfection. As he prepares for what might be his last fight, Jones remains at the top of his game, drawing attention not only to his clash with Miocic but also to a possible future unification bout with interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall. Fans are eagerly awaiting the outcome of UFC 309 to see if Jones will solidify his legacy or be tempted for one last fight in the octagon.
