51 year old Gracie family veteran has been back in the cage for a couple months now. After his victorious return asian promotion ONE FC announced it would be looking forward to featuring Renzo on the March set card in Japan.
Many names were thrown in the hat but perhaps due to constant barbs between the two- most notably

Renzo subsequently refuted this claim stating that the goal was for the showdown to take place at the One Championship on March 31 in Tokyo, Japan:
“Actually, we were supposed to fight … I managed to put the fight on March 31, in Japan, in Tokyo. He (Wallid) talked to the president of the company, everything was agreed, but at the time of signing, he runs. As he does his whole life: running away from everything and everyone. His story shows.
