Vitor Belfort: Floyd Mayweather Would Lose to 14-year-olds in MMA

Vitor Belfort is an MMA Veteran – he’s also one of the youngest ever bjj black belts. Carlson Gracie promoted Belfort when he was just 17.

” He gave me a black belt when I was 17 years old. Everyone criticized him, saying that I had never competed. He said: ‘Come train with Vitor to see’.” – Vitor said back in the day.

Now the MMA veteran is within an earshot of retiring but the Mayweather rumors have him unsettled. Mayweather, at age 41, might be on for some sort of an MMA bout with McGregor.

Interestingly Mayweather and Belfort are of the same age.

Belfort told the Brazilian media during a Hangout session on Friday that he doubts Mayweather would win against any fighter currently signed by the UFC.

“I think he doesn’t have a chance even against the young kids, 15, 14-year-olds. I don’t think he has a chance, no,” Belfort said and mmafighting transcribed. “He has a lot to learn on the ground, kicks. I think it’s an illusion (to say) that happens, unless it’s different rules or a fight in his world.

“With his arms, on his weight, he’s a phenom. Now, involving legs and other things, no chance.”

As for Belfort himself he’s likely to continue his road out of the UFC due to his hormone issue and TRT being banned in UFC:

“In reality, I’m in disadvantage today and they are in advantage,” Belfort said. “I have a hormone deficiency and everybody knows that. You can have a TUE, an exemption. They are in advantage against me. But it’s fine, it’s part of life. Sports have to chance a lot. People with deficiencies, asthma and other deficiencies, have the right to balance things.”
