Many believe Gordon Ryan is making a fuss about having to work hard to secure a next opponent. To those who say he wants the fast in into the big leagues Mr Ryan personally responded:
And when we consider the math of it, Gordon has a bit of a point – entry to IBJJF Worlds costs around a 100$ and the winner doesn’t seem to secure much depending on his deal with the personal sponsors.
It will be truly interesting to see Gordon Ryan face off against Claudio Calasans or perhaps secure a position in some of the more esteemed tournaments. Current poll results stand at:

Over at the reddit bjj community, a certain poster uncovered some back and forths between Gordon Ryan and the wife of ADCC winner Andre Galvao. She’s quite snappy to boot!
One other heavy hitter Ryan wouldn’t hesitate to go up against? BJJ Bad Boy Erberth Santos. Those two would certainly have an amazing match considering just how great of performances Santos always puts on.
