Inna Trazhukova has arguably had a worse day than any of the UFC fighters last night!
The Russian Wrestler was in a match for third place of the 63kg division.
Following her loss she was subsequently attacked by the President of the Russian Wrestling Federation, Mikhail Mamiashvili.
According to the 25-year old Inna Trazhukova the gentleman pictured above was intoxicated when he got backstage.
He hurled a load of insults her way and then proceeded to hit her in front of witnesses.
“There was a fight for the bronze medal, which I lost,” Trazhukova told Russia’s Sport-Express. “After the competition I was met by the president of the Federation Michael Mamiashvili drunk. He spoke roughly, rude and hit me twice in the face. All this happened in front of witnesses”
Russian newspapers had more on this:
“He spoke roughly, rude and hit me twice in the face All this happened in front of witnesses,” she said.
She said she planned to inform the prosecutor’s office about the incident and Russian Sports Minister, Vitaly Mutko.
“I’m not a slave to because of the lost battle with me to do so I was humiliated in public I want to stop it, so that later do not suffer from athlete’s it!” she said.
Mamiashvili added that she did not perform honorably in her match and practically gave away the bronze medal. However he does admit he was a bit harsh with her in the post match conversation but he insists there was no physical altercation.
Mamiashvili didn’t even deny it. He says she was responsible for the result, but didn’t try enough. Trazhukova is going to take him to court

Russian OC member Tarpischev reacts to Mamiashvili beating a female athlete:
-He’s a nice guy
-It happens
-They need to solve it in private.— Artur Petrosyan (@arturpetrosyan) August 20, 2016

Trazhukova will be filing a complaint with Russian Minister of Sport Vitlay Mutko. If that name rings a bell, it’s possibly because he was banned to attend the Olympic games following doping scandals just prior to the games.
“He embarrassed me in public. I want to stop this so female athletes in the future don’t suffer because of him.”
