Nicky Ryan’s last 3 victories all came against seasoned veterans. Ryan successfully defeated Imanari, Hideo Tokoro and Phil Harris.

However rumors were swirling over just how it is he came to be in the Polaris tournament to start with – at one point Eddie Wolverine was to be in it however with everything that happened and his constant state of injury he bowed out.
