TLI Champion Shane Hill-Taylor Is Out Of Worlds Due To Appendicitis

One of the only bjj competitions to offer significant cash prizes from the IBJJF are the World Championships. Still looks like USA bannerman Shane Hill-Taylor will be very sad to miss this unique opportunity.

The Team Lloyd Irvine competitor will be watching this one from his phone in the hospital, until flograppling feed cuts off, that is.

The news were made public yesterday via flograppling:

Hill-Taylor posted from his hospital bed on the Sunday night before the tournament. Recovery time to return to a normal routine after an appendectomy can range from 1 to 3 weeks depending on the type of surgery, but it is common to return to jiu-jitsu after four weeks of recovery or more.

This effectively means flograppling will have an even harder time attracting the paying audience since team USA just got reduced to Keenan Cornelius, JT Torres, Musameci and the odd fighter here and there.

We wish Shane Hill-Taylor a quick recovery!
