“The Real Danger Is Not André”: ATOS Black Belt Accuses Departed Champions Of Underage Misconduct Cover-Up

“The Real Danger Is Not André”: ATOS Black Belt Accuses Departed Champions Of Underage Misconduct Cover-Up

The fallout surrounding the ongoing ATOS controversy has taken yet another dramatic turn.

Jonatas Eliaquim of Atos BJJ Zurich — who publicly pledged loyalty to André and Angelica Galvão in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against André — has now made explosive counter-claims against several unnamed “champions” who left ATOS headquarters following the scandal.

In a series of Instagram comments, Eliaquim shifted focus away from André Galvão and instead alleged that certain former ATOS athletes engaged in inappropriate conduct involving underage girls — and are now distancing themselves to avoid exposure.

“The Real Danger Is Not André”

Responding to critics online, Eliaquim wrote:

“I know this man, and I know who’s also accusing him… I also know that some of the ‘Champions’ only left because their significant others can’t find out about them being with underage girls…”

He went further, stating:

“The real danger is not André. The real danger are the champions who slept with under 16 girls and send pictures of themselves in underwear inviting girls to come get their gift…”

Eliaquim claimed that once the truth becomes public, some of these unnamed individuals could face criminal consequences:

“Once the truth will come out some of these champions will go from deposition directly to jail, for statutory abuse.”

Claims Of Documentation & Attempted Reporting

When challenged on why such allegations had not resulted in police action, Eliaquim responded:

“We tried! They said it was not the case! But later admitted that they wanted to protect the ‘champions’ and we have everything documented. Not hearsay!”

He added that they followed what he described as safety and legal protocols before taking any action:

“We did our diligence, we follow safety protocol… both of them deny.”

“Different than them, we follow safety and legal protocols before making an execution of reputation. The investigation stopped at the underage person word.”

In a final pointed remark, he suggested that certain departing athletes were using André as a scapegoat:

“Just to be crystal clear; the so-called champions… are the only ones who would be to blame for this type of behavior. By throwing Andriy on the fire, they trying to cover their ass, not protecting the actual underage girls.”

The Broader ATOS Exodus

Eliaquim’s comments come amid a wave of high-profile departures from ATOS following public allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct made against André Galvão. Big names that have formally left Atos: Kaynan Duarte, Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa, Andy Murasaki, Josh Hinger, Gustavo Batista etc…

Several prominent competitors have announced their exit from the team in recent weeks. While some have cited personal values and alignment, others have remained publicly silent about their reasons.

Eliaquim, however, has remained one of the most vocal supporters of André and Angelica Galvão, maintaining that loyalty to ATOS leadership is justified and that alternative narratives are being suppressed.

No Names, No Formal Charges — But Escalating Rhetoric

Important note: Eliaquim did not name any specific athletes in his statements, nor did he present public evidence within the comment thread itself. As of this writing, no formal charges connected to the claims he made about unnamed “champions” have been publicly reported.

What is clear, however, is that the situation surrounding ATOS is no longer limited to allegations against one individual. The narrative has evolved into a broader battle of claims, counter-claims, loyalty, reputation, and credibility — with serious accusations now directed in multiple directions.

The ATOS saga continues to unfold, and the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community remains divided as new statements surface.
