Strength and conditioning training for BJJ for less than 10 euros: the homemade Bulgarian training bag.

In this article I will show you how to make you’re own Bulgarian training for less than 10 euros and get a great functional workout for BJJ from it.
The Bulgarian training bag is used in strength training, plyometric, cardiovascular, and general physical fitness. The bags are made of leather or canvas and filled with sand; they weigh from 11 pounds (5.0 kg) to 50 pounds (23 kg) and have flexible handles to allow for both upper and lower body training, and for building grip strength. They are great for working out your core, your grip, and are very versatile.

Shepperds in Bulgaria were the inspiration for the Bug. Bag

They were invented by a Bulgarian wrestler called Ivan Ivanov who was inspired by the tradition of shepherds performing strength acts with sheep and goats on street fairs in his native Bulgaria!!!

The only problem is that Bulgarian bags sell for anywhere from 80 to 200 euros because of the cost of making them with durable leather.
You can however make your very own Bulgarian bag using:

Inner Tire

1.A inner tire, which you can find at your local tire store
2.Sand
3.Cable ties
4. Duct tape
