Several reporters from MMAfighting were banned for life from UFC events last night. Ariel Helwani tweeted about being evicted from the building where UFC 199 was taking place shortly after breaking that Brock Lesnar was close to finalizing deal to fight at UFC 200.
I was escorted out of the building by Zuffa staff before the main event. Credential taken away, too. Didn’t see Bisping realize his dream.

Along with Helwani, Zuffa corporation banned Esther Lin and E. Casey Leydon. While it’s understandable the UFC officials are irritated by this latest leak, it’s hardly good business to ban journalists for life. This is especially troubling considering this news leak likely came from one of the fighter’s camps.
I love this sport & this job with all my heart. Did nothing unethical. I reported fight news. That’s it. & then told we’re banned for life.

Just several hours before the incident Helwani tweeted about Brock Lesnar being close to finalizing deal to appear at UFC 200. It remains to be seen whether this ban will stand.
