Russell Peters On How He Cross Collar Choked a Heckler & Got Sued

World famous comedian Russel Peters has been doing Jiu-Jitsu for three years at the rate of 3 to 4 times a week. He was promoted to blue belt last year by BJJ legend Jean Jacques Machado.

Over the years, he has showed his support for Jiu-Jitsu by talking publicly about it on the Joe Rogan podcast, and also performing wearing Jiu-Jitsu apparel such as this Helio Gracie Cardigan from Roots of Fight:

He recently shared what happened to him when he was faced with a heckler at a comedy show. The guy was in the crowd and yelled out: “F**k Indian people” which Peters answered with humor: “No we are the ones who F**k you. There’s 1 billion of us.’

The 2 guys were then kicked but Peters ran in to them outside and he proceeded to cross collar choke the first guy and punched the 2nd guy.

Peters ended up getting sued and had to settle.
