Situation surrounding the controversial featuring of former WWE wrestler CM Punk in the octagon is heating up. Now bjj legend and one of the most well respected members of the jiu-jitsu community threw their 5 cents worth and in a huge style.
Renzo Gracie spoke about the former pro-wrestler, and he believes he has what it takes to go home with the victory:
“I love the guy. I love CM Punk. He’s a great guy, and he’s a very tough guy,” Gracie told SiriusXM Rush.
He trained for a long time with my cousins in Los Angeles, and now he’s training with Duke Roufus. For sure he will represent well this sport. I can’t wait to see his debut.
He’s going to be against a tough guy, but I think he has a big chance to win,(I think he wins) with a guillotine. I believe, second round.”
Mickey Gall once held his own against one of the most promising grapplers of today – Gordon Ryan.
Back in April of last year, Gordon Ryan went against Mickey Gall at NAGA World Championship. Take a look at just what CM Punk will be going against after just several months of jiu-jitsu?
Do you think there’s even a slightest chance Cm Punk could survive against such an experienced grappler?
