Putin Thankful To Judo For His Mentality

 

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin is a longtime judo practitioner and supporter.

Russian president, Vladimir Putin, recently talked in depth about his life, and his favourite subjects including the US and Trump, Edward Snowden, and women leaders, for his four-part documentary that will be aired on Showtime Special from June 12-15 to famed Hollywood director Oliver Stone.

In their discussion Putin was rather candid and thankful that judo was a part of his life.

Showtime is promoting the series as offering “Unparalleled access to the most controversial man in the world…in his own words.”

 

Stone and Putin discuss Putin’s hesitancy to delegate, and Putin agrees with Stone’s assessment that he is the CEO of the company that is Russia.

Of course Putin was eager to show off his sexist side claiming:

“I am not a woman, so I don’t have bad days,” Putin explained to Stone while giving a tour of the Kremlin’s gilded throne room. “I am not trying to insult anyone. That’s just the nature of things. There are certain natural cycles.”

In addition to this Putin has thanked the martial art Judo for his flexibility according to brecoder.com. Putin also commented on alleged discrimination against homosexuals in Russia. Asked if he’d take a shower in a sbumarine next to a gay men he replied:

“Well, I prefer not to go to the shower with him. Why provoke him? But you know, I’m a judo master.”

Putin was awarded 8th dan in 2012 and became the first Russian to have been awarded the eighth dan, joining a handful of judo fighters in the world who have achieved such status.In the 1970s, he was awarded a Master of Sports in both judo and sambo. Putin has described judo as “my favorite sport”, and he continues to practice it.
