Police Officer Gets Guillotine Choked by a 15-Year Old

Footage has emerged of 15 year old high schooler putting a police officer in a guillotine choke from closed guard during an altercation that occurred in a high school in Gold Coast, Australia.

Police came to Merrimac High School because of a traffic incident and as they were leaving, a group of teens started insulting and yelling at them. One of the police officers started to reprimand one of the boys but he walked away, a scuffle ensued and the officer ended up in a guillotine choke in the teen’s closed guard.

The officer’s partner was forced to run in and pull the teen off him as the other teens filmed.

The teenager, told 9News that he was sorry for the incident.

“What would you say to him?” the teen was asked.

“I’m not too sure, I’d have to think about that one… I apologise for what I did to him.”

The 15-year-old had previously been charged with grievous bodily harm after assaulting a tourist on the Gold Coast and was on bail when he attacked the police officer.

The boy’s mother stated:

“He’s not the kind of child that instigates drama and brings attention to himself I don’t believe.”

The Gracie brothers reacted by reaching out to the police officer, offering him Jiu-Jitsu lessons:

For better or worse, jiu-jitsu is the future. If the fact that a 15-year old kid in Australia guillotine choked a cop from closed guard isn’t proof of this, then nothing is. We’d like to invite this cop to GST, and if he shows up I’ll teach him how to protect his neck, AND we’ll remind him that it’s not a great idea to arrest someone for filming him in public (regardless of whether or not the kid knows jiu-jitsu).
