Paralyzed Man Encourages Daughter To Do Jiu Jitsu – Ends up Competing

For Brian Freeman the outside world was a terrifying place for his daughter grow up – especially so after he ended up paralyzed following surgery that left him wheelchair bound.

This was the tipping moment when Brian decided that it would be a great idea to have his daughter enrolled in marital arts classes. Still Brian wasn’t even imagining that one day he’d be a practitioner in spite of his handicap.

As his daughter and her fascination with bjj grew, she started encouraging and convincing Brian to try his own hand at jiu jitsu. This has allowed him to open up a new horizon and start practicing.

Naturally the Kimura game is strong in this one!

Brian sees his Jiu Jitsu as a new life purpose and an opportunity to help make the impossible possible for others.

It’s great to see someone overcome such challenges and enjoy the gift of bjj!
