Official: Craig Jones Will Face Gabi Garcia in Intergender Match: ‘If I Lose To Gabi, I’ll Retire’

2020-21 keeps getting crazier. It looks like we are going to have our first ever Pro Intergender Grappling match!

10x BJJ female world champion Gabi Garcia will face ADCC silver medalist Craig Jones in a no time limit grappling match.

Gabi who weighs over 100 kgs of muscle trains with men her size every day and would be a challenge for Jones.

Craig stated on instagram ( half jokingly) that if he lost to Gabi, he would retire:

“Sunday, flying into LA to fight Gabi Garcia. We’ll do a no time limit match in her gym and we’ll stream that free, supposedly, yeah. 100-percent [it’s happening]. Hopefully [it goes] well for me (laughs). Otherwise, if I lose I’ll retire. If I lose to Gabi I’ll retire. Just no time limit, sub only. Obviously, a lot of people think it’s a joke, but just because of the interest we thought why not? Jump in. Flo Grappling wouldn’t touch it but we’ll stream it free.”

Craig Jones has defeated a who’s who of the best grapplers and is a triangle and leglock specialist.

The giant Garcia, is a perfect 6-0 in her MMA career and a 10X bjj worlds and 3x ADCC champion.

Her last pro Jiu-Jitsu match at WNO saw her lose by decision to Nathiely De Jesus.

The match will be streamed for free and will be No Gi no time limit.
