Nick Diaz has been happy rubbing shoulders with AJ Agazarm and partying for the last year. The scary fighter has been content to sit on the sidelines as his legal troubles got resolved. And it doesn’t look like he’s ready to change all that in spite of what Anderson Silva said.
“(Expletive) all this – I don’t want to hurt nobody,” Diaz said (via MMAjunkie). “I just want to party.”
Meanwhile Silva said:
“I think it’s a very interesting fight because the last fight with me and Nick is a no contest,” Silva said. “I talked to Nick’s manager a couple of months ago about this fight and Nick say, ‘Okay, let’s go do it. Let’s go talk to Dana and let’s go do it.’”
The last time Diaz won was against B.J. Penn at UFC 137 back in October 2011.
Diaz fought Silva in the UFC 183 main event, losing a unanimous decision. Both men wound up failing drug tests, but while Silva’s was for PEDs, Diaz popped for mari juana.
Meanwhile Silva might be nearing a bigger check:
Anderson is one crafty, crafty Martial Artist.
You only develop these methods through years of hard fought experience.
The crafty veteran. Big respect always.
It would be an honor!

McGregor and Silva have already been linked to a potential superfight so this doesn’t come as that much of a surprise. Silva even mentioned the idea of fighting “Notorious” in his final Octagon outing.
