It’s been a very long time since we’ve seen either of the Diaz brothers competing in the cage. Nick last competed in 2015 while Nate fought McGregor in 2016 in probably the most lucrative move of his career.
A longtime member of their party, Gilbert Melendez shattered the dreams of many hen he confirmed Nick is in fact retired while Nate is juggling other business endeavours:
“I would love to see him (Nick) come back, but last time I checked, he’s retired,” said Melendez on Chael Sonnen’s “You’re Welcome” podcast (via MMA Junkie).
