Gordon Ryan is not just the #1 ranked no-gi athlete – but he’s also, arguably, the #1 trash talker in the BJJ community. However, those who are closest to him often regard Ryan as one of the kindest people to be around.
Nicholas Meregali shared what he feels about Gordon, emphasizing that he wants to teach him surfing as well:
Gordon is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met in my life. He’s always available to help everyone. He’s always trying to improve his friend’s life in different ways and he’s a such great human being, and all of us who have him as a friend are very lucky.
I‘ve no words to thank him for helping me redefine my life and, consequently, my career.
I promise I’ll teach you the surfing lifestyle but I can’t guarantee you won’t die in the ocean, I’ve never seen a gorilla swimming.
