Nate Diaz was the subject of a much anticipated rumored match up with Tyron Woodley. However since then he first said he has been offered a title fight in any weight class – a claim that didn’t come to fruition most likely because the UFC was reluctant to put up the big price Nate was asking for – reportedly around 15 million.

Since then Dana White backed out and claimed an offer wasn’t even on the table – which was called out by both Woodley and Diaz.

Diaz has had a boxing licence in California for close to a year!
“I’m going to get my boxing license in Cali and Nevada,” Diaz told Elias Cepeda of Champions.co. “I tried to get out of my contract years ago, my UFC contract, I had guys try to buy my contract out so I could box years ago but they wouldn’t let me go.”
previously he’s been quoted saying:
“I’m not doing it for a publicity stunt – I’m doing it because I love the sport of boxing,” Diaz added.
“I want to win. I want to fight for real, and get out of some of this s*it that I’m not into, anyway. I don’t think they want me in there anyway, so might as well stay out.”
