But perhaps a 3rd one could be in store, maybe even outside the UFC. Following McGregor’s licence approval earlier in late 2016 Nate Diaz has followed his lead.

Diaz is currently applying for a boxing licence in the State of Nevada. The news was first reported by Espn.com

Nevada Athletic Comission’s executive director Bob Bennett confirmed that Diaz has already paid the 50.000$ fine for that water bottle throwing incident involving McGregor. He’s also submitted material of himself boxing and the body in charge expects to approve his licence.

McGregor currently has a boxing licence in California and is trying to get the Nevada one but however he has still to pay up the fine of 75.000$ and 50 hours of community service (and a pSA) for the same incident.

It remains to be seen what implications these developments will have in the Octagon and outside of it.

Back when fight 2 of Diaz McGregor duology was completed Dana white dismissed the 3rd fight.
