Master BJJ World Champion Nick ‘The Tooth’ Gullo Infected with Coronavirus

Nick “The Tooth” Gullo — 2019 Master black belt world champion has anounced that he has been infected by the novel coronavirus Covid 19.

Gullo anounced 4 days ago on his IG that he had it. He experienced the symptoms:

Respiratory symptoms, fever, dry cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. He went to see two doctors and the second confirmed to him that it was Covid 19.

Gullo is a black belt under the Mendes brothers and trains at AOJ. He is also known for having worked with Dana White and the UFC.

He said that he caught it from someone who had it and didn’t keep away and probably infected 50 people.

Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases and leads to deaths. It is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

The coronavirus is believed to have originated in the central city of Wuhan, China and is spreading across the world at an alarming rate.

Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

Death toll rises: As of today March 25 2020, the number of deaths from the novel coronavirus has risen to 18,300. There are over 413,000 cases globally and 197 countries have been infected.
