After much of an ordeal was made about Mackenzie making weight the fight was set place. Prior to the bout Dern declared she wanted to focus more on striking and not rely so heavily on her bjj anymore.
Still Katherine Roy was none too pleased about either the outcome of the weight situation nor the eventual outcome of the fight.
Roy tried to hold of the young black belt star however she found herself severely lacking so she tried things like this:
