Mackenzie Dern Believes ADCC Is A Great Event To Shed Babyweight For

One time UFC strawweight Mackenzie Dern is 7 months pregnant. She’s also aiming to become the first mother that’s also a UFC champion.
In an interview with MMA Fighting    she revelead she feels her choice to become a mother at this critical juncture in her career may have cost her many fans:

“Many people say ‘she’s lucky because she’s pretty and the UFC likes her, gives her easy fights, and she can do whatever she wants,’ but it’s not like that. My fans… Actually, I lost many fans when I posted a picture with my husband announcing the pregnancy. But I like that it’s changing a bit. It’s no longer those fans that are looking a pretty girl fighting, but fans that really cheer for you during your daily battles and like you for what you do. That’s really cool. That really is motivating.”

Dern also told graciemag:

“I’m going back to the UFC later this year. I also want to fight the ADCC in California in September because it’s a great tournament to train my ankle braces and get back into shape”
