King of the Cage Inducts Dean Lister To Hall Of Fame

Dean Lister, also known as “The Boogeyman”, was one of the pioneers of the leglock movement – he was also an MMA pioneer.

Lister climbed the ranks of MMA through the King of the Cage organization. He fought for the promotion a total of eight times, winning six. He made his MMA debut in September 2000 when he defeated John Jensen via a first-round submission at KOTC 5 – Cage Wars. He retired from MMA since, but still occasionally competes in the BJJ scene.
Lister ultimately made it the the UFC and ended his career with a fight record od 13-7-0 having last submitted an opponent in 2015 with a heel hook.

Recently Lister who has been teaching classes de-escalated a robber of his apartment.

 The ceremony took place this past Saturday, October 27 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California during their latest fight card for the promotions 20th anniversary.

The first five inductees are Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Dean Lister, Javier Vasquez, Ernie Perea and Joe Stevenson.
