Jose Aldo released from hospital, Fight Still On In spite Bacterial infection

Jose Aldo wanted to perform at UFC Rio at all costs. Former UFC champion has been hospitalized with an infection just two months out from his co-main event tilt with Alexander Volkanovski set for May at UFC 237 in Brazil, per a recent report by Combate.

Aldo is currently on a 2 fight win streak and is looking to end his career on a positive note- with two more victories at UFC events held in Brazil.

Aldo, 32,  did not respond well to the first set of antibiotics to treat a cut on his knee, but has shown improvements over the past 24 hours as he fights off a fever. Aldo’s medical situation is under control. According to Brazilian MMA news outlet Combate, Jose was released from Samaritano Hospital in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday morning and should be back to training soon.

Aldo is on a two fight win streak with quite impressive performances.
