John Danaher Shares Some Epic Stories from His Bouncer Days & His Beginnings in BJJ

John Danaher is known as one of the best instructors in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. The New Zealand born, BJJ black belt under Renzo Gracie has been praised by the BJJ community as being a master and brain of the art.

Interestingly, Danaher has himself never competed in BJJ. He explains his reasons for that and his decision to be become the best possible instructor:

Danaher was working as a philosophy professor at Columbia University and also as a bouncer in NYC nightclubs (he did that job for close to 20 years).
