Joe Rogan Names Top Grapplers Of Today

Joe Rogan’s passion for grappling has long been widely documented. There’s perhaps no other more effective advocate for jiu-jitsu in the media today.

Rogan has been quoted saying:

“Jiu jitsu is the only martial art that it really works like in the Bruce Lee movie where the little guy can beat the big guy…”

Rogan who is a Jean Jacques Machado / Eddie Bravo black belt makes no secret of how much he admires John Danaher and his students – however you might not have expected to hear this from Joe:

Nice little shout from @joerogan. @garrytonon

When asked: Who is the best grappler on the planet?

“It’s hard to tell. It’s Danaher’s guys it’s probably Gordon Ryan or maybe Garry Tonon. Or one of those guys. But then there’s a lot of high level jiu-jitsu guys. See the thing is – no one has caught up to Danaher’s leg game. Like there’s a few guys – there’s Craig Jones out of Australia that’s a real high level. There’s a bunch of guys that are closing in but it seems like what Danaher is doing .. I mean Danaher is such a f***** wizard. He’s such a genius, his application of his because Danaher’s severely crippled. He’s got  one fake hip and they’re gonna replace one of his knees… His mind. He’s a very very intelligent guy. Superior and the way he’s applied like that thought process to jiu jitsu is incredibly unique  “
