Joe Rogan And Eddie Bravo Talk The Danaher Death Squad: The Sport Needs Someone Like That

The inceptions of the Danaher Death Squad were apparent years ago. Back then Garry Tonon even made an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience in a full length segment.

Still Rogan doesn’t really follow the bjj competitive scene – he’s decidedly a proponent of the sub only movement and is generally more in tune with that scene.

Here’s what he said about the bjj competition scene:

Rogan has also been an outspoken fan of John Danaher’s instagram presence which has a very distinct style. However recently he gave further comment on just what makes the system tic:

JR: Do you know of Danaher’s System? Do you talk to him about it?

EB: He’s very secretive about it and it’s a very good move. That’s part of the reason they’re dominating the sub only scene. They’re very secretive but we take what they do and we add it to the game and we dissect their game. We dissect  Marcelo Garcia’s game. We dissect anybody’s game who is legit.

Of course over time 10th Planet did make advance on the DDS system – a system that’s out there in rough form.

Eddie Cumming’s and Gordon Ryan’s utilisation of John Danaher’s Back Attack System as seen in EBI 6 and 7.
