How Jiu-Jitsu Changed The Life Of Austin McDaniel from a Victim of Bullying To An Assertive Young Man Joining The Marines

Back in 2012 Austin McDaniel was a 13 year old boy from Indiana who was quite fond of video games and playing the guitar. Some time in September of the same year he had the unfortunate experience of being viciously assaulted at school in front of other students.

McDaniel was choked from behind and knocked unconscious via punches to the head. All of which was caught on a security camera at the time.

However shortly after brothers Rener and Reyron Gracie flew him up to the Gracie academy and gave it their best to make sure this experience was an isolated event that wouldn’t further endanger the young man.

After only a week the effect was apparent and can be observed in the video below:

But Austin’s story doesn’t end there. Through his continued dedication to jiu-jitsu and the healthy lifestyle he’s completely changed his life!

Austin is now embarking on a new journey having finished high school and decided to go into the military. attached below is the Gracie Breakdown and update on his life & jiu jitsu journey
