But Firas Zahabi actually talks how to counter wrestling with jiu-jitsu in his latest video focused on how to Fight Wrestling with Jiu-Jitsu.

He presents a technique which offers up a single leg in order to go to a leg lock counter. This is something members of Danaher Death Squad have done in the past as well. Eddie Wolverine is featured in one very similar video showcasing how this is one of his preferred entries into a leg lock position.

“I just think that diving into leg locks and using jiu-jitsu to counter wrestling is so powerful. One major reason is because the wrestlers don’t expect it. “

The key to executing this particular technique?

“When my partner has a single leg I’m going to grab wizzer. Ok, and with my other hand I’m just grabbing his wrist. From there I’ll turn it into an armdrag – pull him forward and slide into ashi garami. “
