Islam Makhachev (20-1) put on a grappling clinic back in March 2021 in a third-round submission win over Drew Dober (23-10, 1 NC) at UFC 259 inside the Apex in Las Vegas.
Makhachev shocked the UFC and especially the BJJ fans when he was able to choke Dober with shoulder pressure from top half guard. It first looked like an arm triangle but was actually a modified Von Flue choke which is choke that you do when someone keeps a hold of a guillotine after been taken and having the opponent in side control.
