The latest to be interviewed by the Grappling Central Podcast is the UFC legend Frank Mir.
Mir was kind enough to share his origin jiu-jitsu story. To talk about his approach to life, philosophy and professionalism he’s exhibited in both his fighting career and his bouncer employment.
A lot of what Mir shared mirrors some of the things Joe Rogan has mentioned – Mir is quite outspoken about just how the UFC favors strikers over grapplers and how the protective gear is actually hurting the sport.
Mir has been in the UFC from 2001 up until 2015. He talks changes during the large timespan in spectators, atmosphere and how accepted MMA is in general.
