Often times online we see videos of police officers who are unable to live up to the challenge of their job takes to improper training they receive.

Rener and Ryron’s Gracie Breakdown just pointed spotlight at another such case in Arkansas :

Tough to watch! Expecting cops to fight crime without providing them the proper training, is a crime in itself. Police chiefs across the country need to do better for their officers. The potential for jiu jitsu to enable police officers to be better at their job is enormous. We often observe videos like trips and perfect stand up technique enabling men in nasty situations to defend themselves regardless of what side of the conflict they’re on.

However for Law Enforcement Officers there’s an obvious benefit to knowing ground work – aka brazilian jiu-jitsu but for some police their knowledge of grappling is so bad that it can lead to some tragicomic incidents such as this one:
