Gordon Ryan Set to Make Combat Jiu Jitsu Debut Against Fabricio Werdum

Gordon Ryan has been absent from Eddie Bravo events for a hot minute still when it came down to someone accepting his challenge offer – Bravo quickly scooped up the match up for his platform.

Bravo announced:

Werdum is not only a former UFC Heavyweight Champion – he is also a two-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, a two-time Abu Dhabi Combat Club World Heavyweight Champion and European jiu-jitsu champion. He holds black belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Judo, and Muay Thai.

Werdum returned to grappling just last month after a long suspension handed down by US Anti Doping Agency. Back in September brazilian ace was suspended for 2 years following an out-of-competition urine test conducted on April 25 revealed the stroid trenbolone and its metabolite epitrenbolone.

Werdum is 41 years old. Meanwhile Ryan is 23 years old and coming off of a no show at Kasai 4 following speculations he had hepatitis c – a claim he’s since debunked explaining his medical status.
