Jiu-jitsu matches that get the most attention are most certainly those between the most experienced – those on the black belt level. However young Nicky Ryan has managed to turn quite a few heads along the way and garner some attention.
The younger broter of phenom Gordon Ryan didn’t quite make it to the ADCC but came might close. And given how at age 15 he managed to place 3rd at North American trials this match promises quite a bit of excitement.
Marvin Castelle has had his own streak. The 10th planet brown belt had a video of an impeccably executed imanari roll go viral – and score over several million plays everywhere around the internet.
Castelle is a brown belt under Eddie Bravo himself! – He is 25 years old and lives in Los Angeles. He also teaches the advanced kid’s classes at the gym.
Still Ryan will have the backing of his brother who has vouched for him once again on social media:
