Garry Tonon Asking for A Chance To Test His Gi Skills Against AJ Agazarm

Garry Tonon Asking for A Chance To Test His Gi Skills Against AJ Agazarm

Late yesterday AJ Agazarm announced his anticipated match against Bill Cooper under the Fight To Win Pro Banner has hit a huge snag – Cooper got injured.

The crowd was quick to suggest a variety of replacements but one stood out – Garry Tonon. Tonon, fresh off his loss to Antonio “Cara de Sapato” Carlos Jr  is looking to make an exception and have a rare Gi fight against AJ Agazarm.

Of course Tonon got quick to work and is looking for sponsors – the talented grappler has competed almost exclusively in nogi in the past.

Given how rarely Tonon tests out his skills in the gi, this will be the fight to watch!

Prior to that it was announced be once again testing himself in nogi – this time against IBJJF champion Gabriel Arges!

About to get another session in the books with @glibertmelendez and @jakeshields prepping for @f2wpro against @gabrielarges in Huntington Beach on Friday February 3rd. To have two matches back to back like this is definitely difficult, I couldn’t even fly home to have a proper fight camp with my team. However, the SF #skrappack is treating me like family, or at least beating the piss outta me like a bunch of older brothers picking on the youngest. Also I get an early shot at redemption for my piss poor performance at @submissionunderground. Although the night is dark, and full of terrors, I see the light at the end of the tunnel, I just have to fight tooth and nail to claw my way out. See you guys in Huntington Beach! @flograppling
