It’s been quite a weekend for Santos. After attending this weekend’s Belo Horizonte Open and winning against Alex Aparecido in the finale of the super heavyweight division he managed to crash his car.

According to Santos’ own social media the beloved car was totaled but Santos appears unharmed and you can actually see his silhouette taking the picture of said car. He didn’t offer further information to the flurry of interested commenters.
Earlier the same day Santos shared an inspirational message:
You know when you seek to conquer the success is at work, study or training and it seems like nothing is working?!
That feeling of frustration that we’ve been through in life to the point of hearing of who loves us the request to give up and do something that is concrete and real?!
I’ve been through that, I had to go against everything and everyone, swam against the tide, I’ve had difficulties that seemed unbearable, I suffered, I cried and I haven’t slept for nights… But I believe in God and in my dreams!! I wiped the tears and I went to get it all over again, not that I paid the price of suffering again!
I wrote this because I’ve seen being the number 1 ranking, when it all seemed to be a trip…
I wrote this testimony because today’s been a movie in my head when I opened the page of the ibjjf and saw my photo as second placed the leaderboard.
I can show that in life we need to believe and I am living proof that we can be who we want, just work hard and believe in you!! Don’t let anyone get you down, seek to be the best through your sacrifice. I’ll get the top of the world, you can bet!!
I hope that some people don’t interpret that as arrogance, but be able to see the positive side of all this, which is the confidence and motivation.
Thank you to friends, team, sponsors and fans!
I’ll be the number 1!!!# Euvoutemotivar #Bjj #jiujitsu #stormstrong #almeidabjj
