Eddie Bravo Invitational 9 is fast approaching. The latest edition of the sub only event will feature Light Heavyweights and an unlikely competitor – Garry Tonon in place of 2 time EBI winner Gordon Ryan.
The bracket for the event has just been released!
The biggest favorite to win is certainly Vinny Magalhaes – 2011 ADCC victor – he’s also a 3 time bronze medalist at ADCC. He’s won almost every (jiu-jitsu) competition he’s competed at. On his side Vinny has 19 years of jiu-jitsu experience compared to the 5 or so years Gordon Ryan has been training.
Magalhaes will be going up against UFC’s Tom Breese in round 1

As for the Dark Horse well perhaps Garry Tonon is at his optimum – he just defeated significantly larger Gilbert Durinho Burns at Polaris so it could be said that he is in his prime!
Garry certainly has his work cut out for him. In the first round he will be going up against Jimmy Friedrich.
Who do you think will get to the finals? And who’s your dark horse?
