During a trial in Norway a man accused of extensive abuse to his children went a little bit berserk but was luckily contained by a judo loving DA!

As Norwegian site vg.no reports the trial began last Wednesday in Oslo District court. The atmosphere was tense from the very start when the 49 year old defendant issued harassment and threats against his own daughters.

When he wasn’t allowed to sit in court while his daughters testified he was greatly annoyed. When the judge instructed he keep quiet by the judge he overturned the table and attacked the two female police officers present in court the DA intervened as well.

Next thing he knew was He flew through the air.

As told by the other attorney present:

 “I found it that he flew through the air. In any case he bone hooked the accused, put him to the ground and twisted his arms behind his back. “said counsel Mette Yvonne Larsen.

Morten Yggeseth, the district attorney who did the throwing told vg.no:

“The police did their job completely by the book but he offered resistance. I went over to calm him down but he tried to engage me. “

At that point Yggeseth took hold of the accused and performed osoto-gake on the accused.

First District Attorney Jørn Maurud says it is rare that the prosecution must intervene physically in court.

“We have the famous “tiger leap” in the Torgersen case, but then it was the jury foreman who intervened. Attorney Dorenfeldts role limited itself well to shout “put him in iron,” says Maurud.
