Dillon Danis Doesn’t Consider Himself Copycat – Believes He’s The Biggest MMA Prospect

Dillon Danis has come under much fire with an on-point call out by Steve Kozola. Kozola said:

“I followed Dillon before he became Conor McGregor’s (jiu-jitsu) coach. I never saw this from him – never saw this ‘Look at my fashion, look at this money,’ everything like that. First of all, you don’t even have money. Whatever money you have, Conor’s giving to you, all right, for training him. You don’t make much off BJJ.”

Kozola Doubles Down On Bellator 175 callout of McGregor ‘copycat’ Dillon Danis

And indeed prior to McGregor association he could be seen wearing clothes you could pretty much see anywhere.

Still Danis insists this new incarnation of him isn’t a persona:

“I said before I, I’m the biggest prospect to come in MMA so I didn’t have to do anything. That’s why I signed and it was the biggest news in all of MMA and in Jiu-jitsu. Every single media platform so I didn’t have to do anything. Everybody knows what’s up, I mean I’m just myself at the end of the day. I don’t really think the whole persona thing I think it’s fake, and I think it’s made up but I mean it does sell. And at the end of the day I just tell the truth when people ask me about my opponents I just say what I feel about it and that’s it. “
