FightinglifestyleUAE.com caught up with the 2015 ADCC under 77 Champion, Davi Ramos to talk about his views on competing and winning gold at the ADCC that took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Davi Ramos breaks down his fights that he had with Gabriel Rollo, Gilbert “Durinho” Burns and defeating Lucas Lepri in dramatic fashion with a flying arm bar in the finals. Davi told us that the toughest fight he had during the tournament was his second fight against Gabriel Rollo and further to that his views on going up against a team mate and friend Gilbert “Durinho” Burns.
In regards to the final fight against Lucas Lepri, Davi Ramos stated:
“When you are in the finals, The ADCC finals. Against Lucas Lepri a two time black belt world champion, he is a tough guy. My game plan was to stay on top and his was to pull guard. In my mind I felt like he doesn’t want to fight on top and he felt that I was a little bit better then him, I thought to my self this is the moment, so I tried and I got the position. It was perfect”
