Dan Hardy is an English former MMA artist who fought in the welterweight division and has since pivoted to being an analyst and color commentator for the UFC.
Hardy is reportedly a bjj brown belt, under Drysdale Jiu-Jitsu having gotten his purple belt under Eddie Bravo some time back. His nickname, “The Outlaw”, comes from the screen name he used online when he was looking for training partners after a disagreement with a coach which led to his former training partners being forbidden to work with him.
Fast forward to couple days back when jockey Davy Russell punched his horse Kings Dolly before a race and received a wide spread criticism over the incident as the Irish Turf Club didn’t either fine or suspend Russell initially – only after the public outcry did he receive some penalty.
But the outlaw saw something that rubbed him the wrong way – a jockey abusing his horse and decided to pipe in:
Four days suspension? I think four minutes in a cage with me would be better punishment. https://t.co/h0sekkhzUp

The prickly jockey was quick to respond:

Let’s not be silly here. It would be neither ‘super’, nor fight. Swift, violent and conclusive. Exactly why it won’t happen. https://t.co/G2SCHX9xpz

You wouldn’t have the balls to accept a real fight. I’d be happy to serve you up though. I’d even carry you around the racecourse first. https://t.co/z37VpuQkkN
