Crossfit World Champion Wins First Major BJJ Competiton

Jason Khalipa has been in the world of sports for quite sometime. Under his belt is 2008 Crossfit Championship as well as other accomplishments.

But a couple of months back he got into jiu-jitsu saying he’s constantly trying things outside of his comfort zone and developing new skills.

 

 

In his short tenure as a jiu-jiteiro he even managed to meet the two superstars – Joao and Paolo Miyao.

 

 

The hard work had paid off – Khalipu conquered his first tournament the US Open Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu taking place at the Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz!

 According to his own testiment:
“Really cool experience tonight at my first BJJ competition. Thankful to have finished 1st in my division “adult 208lb” (tough matches). Big thank you to @ashleykhalipa for always supporting me unconditionally. 2017 CrossFit Games season is next.”
