Craig Jones and Gordon Ryan have been going back and forth on social media for some time…
With Ryan, seemingly, taking the trash talk more seriously than Jones is.
Craig spoke about it in a recent “El Segundo” podcast episode, while talking to MMA legend Josh Barnett.
When Josh asked if Gordon genuinely hates him, Craig was more than positive in his reply:
Oh yeah, he definitely does. (Laughs)
But it doesn’t make sense to Josh. For, according to him – the Aussie grappler is just poking at and having fun with Ryan.
Craig emphasized that this, actually, is the entire point. That Gordon doesn’t understand the banter:
It’s the Aussie banter… Some of the Americans don’t get it.
I enjoy it, I enjoy it for sure.It’s funny because, like… The banter works so well with him, because he will only come back with: “Well, you suck. And I’m the best.”
And I’m, like: “But I fu*king said that.”And then, when we go back and forth and the fans get involved… When the fans start saying things to him, I think it doesn’t make sense to him.
Because he’s, like: “How can these people laugh at me? I’m the fu*king best.”
