Coral Belt Rigan Machado Shows a Great Entry to Leg Lock

Rigan Machado shows a really cool transition: butterfly guard sweep to X Guard to leg lock. Rigan was one of the first BJJ practitioners to master leg locks as he was was training and competing in Sambo for many years.

Rigan Machado began training with his cousins from the Gracie Family at the age of 5. With an incredible 365-0 professional record in Jiu-Jitsu competition, Rigan is a former Pan American Champion and ADCC world Medalist. As one of the few red and black belts, Rigan’s abilities come straight from the source, and his extraordinary career supports his abilities.

There are many excellent teachers in Jiu-Jitsu. However, the red and black coral belts possess knowledge that no one else can use. If you have any interest in improving your game, Rigan is a great source. Not only is his technique on another level, but his experience and understanding of the sport runs very deep, which makes him an incredible teacher.
