Combat Jiu Jitsu has been struggling from the get go. The baby version of mixed martial arts and no quite adult version of grappling struggles to find its audience to date.
The latest event is no different and even suffered from plenty of pull outs at a late date including 10th Planet’s Geo Martinez, Renzo Gracie academy’s Jon Calestine and plenty of others.
In an effort to help the struggling promotion UFC Fight Pass shared plenty of clips with somewhat limited traction. Some of the best moments of the event are these:

While some joke that this is the latest attempt of Eddie Bravo to crown a winner from his own school it’s certainly not a successful one at that. Alarcon is a 4x IBJJF NoGi World Champion in addition to finishing 3rd at recent ADCC Trials. Alarcon is a member of Giva Santana’s One Jiu jitsu team.
